Sakamoto Shogo gia nhập làng nghệ từ năm 2006, hoạt động đến 2010 thì tạm ngưng vì việc học, và trở lại vào năm 2012. Anh nổi tiếng với vai chính Echizen Ryoma trong dàn cast Seigaku thế hệ thứ tư của The Prince of Tennis musical series, TeniMyu. Anh cũng diễn vai Ciel Phantomhive trong Kuroshitsuji The Musical: That Butler, Friendship.
