Robin có mẹ là người Nhật và cha là người Mỹ gốc Nhật ở Hawaii.
- Robin debut năm 2013.
- Robin tốt nghiệp chuyên ngành kép Ngôn ngữ học và Tâm lý học tại Đại học tiểu bang Hawaii, làm sinh viên trao đổi một năm tại Đại học Massachusetts. Anh từng là giáo viên tiếng Nhật cho trẻ em Mỹ gốc Nhật khi theo học tại Đại học Massachusetts.
- Robin có kinh nghiệm trong rất nhiều lĩnh vực qua các công việc bán thời gian của mình, từ biên tập viên tự do đến dịch thuật, tư vấn nguồn nhân lực, huấn luyện viên bóng đá, bartender, gia sư, may mặc...Đặc biệt anh có kiến thức rất sâu rộng về Hawaii khi từng làm hướng dẫn viên du lịch tại đây một thời gian.
