Anne tên thật là Watanabe Anne (渡辺杏), khi gia nhập làng giải trí lấy nghệ danh Anne (杏). Cô là con nhà nòi, sau thời gian thử sức ở vai phụ đã lên tuyến chính.

Anne và nam diễn viên Higashide Masahiro đã kết hôn vào ngày đầu năm mới 2015. Họ đã thủ vai vợ chồng trong bộ phim truyền hình Gochisousan (NHK). Cả hai lập tức thân nhau trên phim trường do có sở thích tương đồng. Chuyện tình cảm giữa Anne và Higashide Masahiro được đồn đại lần đầu vào tháng 1/2014, nhiều nguồn tin cho biết họ đã bắt đầu sống chung vào mùa hè năm ấy.
